Online Purchases

All purchases made online must be picked up from the shop within 60 days of payment. If bikes are not picked up or arrangements have not been made they will be considered abandoned. Abandoned bikes will be donated back into the organization. 

 

Warranty

Thank you for supporting Community Cycles of California and our mission to raise the quality of life in our corner of the community. Your bicycle purchase today goes toward our work experience program and our community bicycle programs.

Today you have purchased a used bicycle that has been lovingly refurbished with a 30+ point inspection, tune-up, and any necessary parts to insure great operation.*  With CCofCA’s warranty, you know you are getting a safe, reliable used bicycle. 

 

60 Day Limited Used Bicycle Warranty*

Your bicycle includes new and/or used components. When used components are chosen, it is because they are working well and should last a long time. For a period of 60 days after your purchase, we offer a limited mechanical warranty. This warranty DOES NOT cover normal wear and tear and is VOID if damages incurred are the result of misuse, improper handling or storage, or accidents and crashes. This includes:  

  • Cracked or bent frame
  • Flat tires due to puncture or pinched tubes
  • Bent wheels
  • Worn down tire treads
  • Worn brake pads
  • Worn rim braking surfaces
  • Broken spokes
  • Worn grips
  • Ripped and separating saddle materials
  • Stretched chains
  • Worn out cassettes, freewheels and chain-rings
  • Rusty cables and components

* Warranty does not include “as is” purchases.

We encourage riders to schedule regular bicycle maintenance to ensure reliability.

 

30 Day Limited Service Department Warranty

All bicycles purchased for $250 or more at Community Cycles of California include ONE (1) free tune-up ($100 value) within ONE (1) year of purchase. You must have your receipt* to claim this service.

All bicycles serviced at Community Cycles of California come with a 30-day limited service warranty. Any work or service on your bike not provided by Community Cycles of California VOIDS this warranty. 

Warranties are not transferable under any circumstance. Your original receipt must accompany the bicycle to honor the warranty. CCofCA may refuse service for failure to provide receipt. The decision as to whether or not a particular item is covered by the warranty is at the sole discretion of CCofCA management. For a period beyond warranty dates, you may make an appointment with our service desk; regular service rates apply.

Return Policy

Our goal is for you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Community Cycles of California. If you receive an item you are dissatisfied with you may return it for a refund, exchange or store credit based on the following guidelines.

Forms of payment:

We accept cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards and traveler's checks with proper ID.

There is a $250 limit on purchases made with a check.

All returned checks will incur a $30 processing fee.

 

Your original receipt is required for all returns and exchanges.

All returns and exchanges must be in original condition and include all accessories, manuals, and original packing materials.

 

30-day return period for refunds:

EXTENDED TO 60 DAYS DURING SHELTER-IN-PLACE

We accept returns for a full refund for up to 30 days from the date of the original purchase.

A 10% restocking fee will be charged for all returns that are not part of an exchange. This contributes towards credit card processing fees and refurbishing the bike again. During Shelter-in-Place, it contributes toward cleaning the bicycle again before it enters the shop.

Please review the exceptions below.

  • 60-day return period for exchanges or store credit:
    • We accept returns for an exchange or store credit for up to 60 days from the date of the original purchase
  • No returns after 60 days 

Refund method:

Refunds for cash transactions less than $100.00 will be made in cash, and more than $100.00 will be made in the form of a company check. Refunds for check transactions will be made in the form of a company check after a 21-day waiting period.

Refunds for credit card transactions and debit cards will be in the same form as the original purchase.

Layaways:

All layaways require a 20% non-refundable deposit.  

All layaways must be closed out within 60 days.

 

Special Orders:

All special orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit.

All special orders must be picked up within 90 days.

All special orders placed during a sale event must be paid in full at the time of the sale in order to receive the sale pricing.

All special order sales are final.

Community Cycles of California reserves the right to deny any return.
